The much-anticipated Update 4 for Roblox Rivals—dubbed The Summer Update—arrived on August 24, 2024, and it's packed with exciting new content. 🌞 Roblox Rivals: Summer Update (Update 4)

Released on August 24, 2024, the Summer Update brought a wave of fresh content, gameplay improvements, and balance changes to Roblox Rivals. Here's a full rundown of everything new in Update 4:

🌴 New Summer-Themed Maps

• Splash: A floating, inflatable arena with a central trampoline and an elimination ring—perfect for mid-sized battles.
• Big Splash: A larger version of Splash, ideal for chaotic brawls with five or more players.
• Big Backrooms: An expanded take on the original Backrooms map, suited for extended duels.

🗺️ Map Reworks & Improvements

• Big Crossroads: Completely redesigned for larger fights with better weapon variety and tactical play.
• Backrooms: Adjusted for a fairer and more enjoyable experience.
• Construction: Now features Rivals blimps and quicker elimination on fall.

General improvements include:

• All maps now have invisible ceilings to prevent jump exploits.
• Crossroads trampoline power has been nerfed.
• In Onyx, the top two center ledges have collision disabled.

🔧 Matchmaking Improvements

Matchmaking is now region-based, putting players into optimal servers for better performance and reduced lag.

🎨 New Skins & Cosmetics

• MiniBloxia Charm: Earned by eliminating @SubToMiniBloxia.
• New in Skin Case 2: Skins for AUG Assault Rifle, Hand Gun, and Laptop Medkit.
• Updated Skins:
  • Camera Flashbang now snaps a photo of enemies when detonated.
  • Keythe Scythe features new effects and sounds.

⚖️ Weapon Balancing

• Aim Assist: FOV reduced from 180° to 15°, strength doubled.
• Sniper: Headshot hitbox increased from 75% to 87.5%.
• Shotgun: Spread increased from 7.5° to 10°.
• Paintball Gun: Reload time increased to 4.2s.
• Molotov: Damage increased to 45.
• Subspace Tripmine: Cooldown halved to 30s; knockback increased by 25%.
• Flare Gun: Damage raised to 50.
• Minigun: Damage lowered to 8.
• RPG: Direct hit damage reduced to 120, splash to 40.
• Exogun: Direct hit damage lowered to 20, splash damage upped to 10.

• Daily Shop: Now offers one free item daily and includes over 40 cosmetic items. You can also refresh using keys.
• New Settings:

  • Toggle finisher volume
  • Mobile camera turning via button
  • Option to enable/disable receiving gifts
• Cosmetic Management: Favorite, randomize, and search through your skins, wraps, and finishers easily.
• Private Servers: Now free with kick/ban features and support for custom game modes.
