The Adopt Me! Lunar New Year 2024 update kicked off on February 8 and brought a colorful celebration of South Korean culture to Adoption Island. With new legendary pets, themed furniture, limited-time games, and special gift boxes, players had a chance to collect exclusive items and dive into brand-new experiences. Even though the event ended on February 22, many of the pets and items are still tradeable—so there’s still time to complete your collection!
🎉 Adopt Me! Lunar New Year 2024 Update
Released on February 8, 2024, the Lunar New Year update in Adopt Me! celebrated South Korean culture with a splash of color and a bunch of exciting additions! Here's everything you need to know about the pets, items, activities, and more from this festive event.
🐉 New Pets
- Midnight Dragon – A legendary pet available for 1,000 Robux.
- Rainbow Dragon – A legendary pet that could be found in the gift boxes:
- 8% chance in the Special Lunar New Year Gift Box
- 1% chance in the regular Lunar New Year Gift Box
- Rice Cake Rabbit – An ultra-rare pet that could be found in both types of gift boxes.
- Fanghorn Tortoise – Another ultra-rare pet available in both boxes.

🏮 Activities & Currency
During the event, players earned Yakgwa (a special currency) by participating in festive minigames and tasks:
- Red & Green Lantern Minigame: Players had to sneak around collecting Rice Cake Soup while avoiding moving statues. Golden bowls gave more points, with a maximum reward of 3,200 Yakgwa per round.
- Kite Launching: Each day, players could launch up to six kites around Adoption Island, earning 150 Yakgwa per kite (up to 900 per day).
🏡 New Korean-Style Home & Furniture
A new Korean House was introduced, available for 2,200 Bucks. It came with a whole set of themed furniture, including:

🎨 Community Fun
Players also got a chance to show off their creative side in the Coloring Contest. They were invited to color their own versions of the Midnight Dragon and Rice Cake Rabbit. Winners received a special Midnight Dragon pet and had their art featured in the community Discord channel.
This event ran from February 8 to February 22, 2024. Although it's over, many of the event’s pets and items are still tradeable among players—so keep an eye out if you missed anything!
