Uplift Games, the studio behind the beloved Roblox game Adopt Me!, has joined forces with the Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) to champion marine conservation. This inspiring partnership is all about creating positive change for whales and dolphins across the globe.

🌊 Conservation Initiatives

US Intern Program: In North America, WDC runs a volunteer training program for young conservation enthusiasts. Interns gain hands-on experience in species identification, data collection, and public education—essential tools for protecting marine wildlife.

Dolphin Webcam in Scotland: Thanks to Adopt Me!’s support, WDC has installed a remote camera at Chanonry Point in Scotland. This live feed helps monitor local dolphins, providing valuable insight into their health and behavior.

Saving Franciscana Dolphins: WDC is actively working to protect Franciscana dolphins—an endangered species living off the coasts of Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. Their efforts include field research, education campaigns, and advocating for protected marine areas.

Backing OrcaLab in Canada: Adopt Me! also supports OrcaLab, a research station in British Columbia that studies Northern Resident orcas using respectful, non-invasive methods. This work contributes vital data for ongoing protection efforts.

🎨 Community Engagement

To bring the community into the mission, Uplift Games hosted a t-shirt design contest. The winning artwork became official merchandise, with 100% of proceeds going to WDC. Winners received exclusive in-game prizes and even a one-year dolphin adoption through WDC! Players also joined in by coloring marine-themed art and sharing their creations online for a chance to win ocean-themed in-game pets.

🐬 In-Game Events

In celebration of World Oceans Day, Adopt Me! gave out special in-game items including badges, a Conch Music Box, a Clam Stroller, and a Seaweed snack for pets. These limited-time items were available at the charity stand from June 8 to July 8, 2021, helping raise awareness in a fun, interactive way.

Through these meaningful efforts, Uplift Games and the Adopt Me! community have made a real difference in the world of marine conservation—proving that games can be a force for good beyond the screen.
