On November 5, 2020, Adopt Me! rolled out a major update focused on making trading safer and reducing scams. Here's a friendly breakdown of what changed:
🛡️ Trade License System
Why it matters: This system helps ensure players know how to trade safely—especially when dealing with valuable items.
How to Get Your Trade License:
- Visit the Safety Hub in the main town.
- Take a quick 3-question quiz on fair trading rules.
- You can retake the quiz as many times as needed until you pass.
Benefits of Having a License:
- You can trade Legendary and Ultra-Rare pets.
- View your last 30 days of trade history.
- Report suspicious trades directly from your history.
🔄 Two-Stage Trading System
This system helps players avoid unfair trades by adding an extra confirmation step:
How It Works:
- Step 1: Both players choose and confirm the items to trade.
- Step 2: The system checks the fairness of the trade:
- If it seems unfair, both players see a warning popup.
- If it's fair, you can go ahead and complete the trade.

Reviewing Trades:
- Equip your Trade License from the toys section in your backpack.
- Click on it to view all your trades from the last 30 days.
